A weight has been lifted.

Earlier in the year, I thought that signing up for a 50 miler would give me the inspiration I needed to kick start my running.

Unfortunately, it has not.

After my 50k run/walk I knew that I wasn't in any shape to pull a 50 miler off.

I finally contacted the RD and asked to be switched to the 50k.

The 50k is going to be quite a challenge itself (as I haven't done any training since Creemore).

A huge weight has been lifted. I am sooooooo relieved. No more feeling guilty for lack of training, no more missing workouts because I feel so guilty.

I've put a stop to the negative cycle!

Gotta love that.

Good for you! Derek's always liked the 50K. Maybe someday I'll work up to it.

Now get to training! :)

Good luck, Stacey! It's great you were able to switch to the 50k. Now, you can better enjoy your training. :-)

I think the 50K will be the longest I ever would want to try to go. Anything after that just isn't something I want to do at all. Maybe if I got this "runner's high" thing that people talk about, but I don't. Good luck with the 50K

I hope you can experience the runners high at least once....... It's amazing!
