Large Roadside Monuments in Ontario

Andrew and I got the idea from friends of ours.... Thanks goes to Matthew and Dr. Ana.

We decided that we are going to travel around Ontario to find the (sometimes famous) roadside attractions. Yesterday was a beautiful day.... we decided that Leamington would be our first official destination.

Leamington is a municipality in Essex County, Ontario and has a population of 31,113. It is located near Point Pelee. It has a large H. J. Heinz Company factory and is known as the "Tomato Capital of Canada", with 4 km² of this crop in the vicinity. It also lays claim to being the "Sun Parlour" of Canada due to its southern location.

You can sort of see Sadie in the jeep.... she had a blast driving around with the top off!

The 'Tourist Information Tomato' and the Tomato family. :D

Gotta run.

If you are ever around the Orangeville area they have some interesting shoe trees that are worth looking for. I'm sure you'll appreciate seeing them being a runner.
