Back from St. Louis..... on to the next adventure.

I will be participating in the Creemore Vertical Challenge 50km this Saturday (first time). There is an 8 hour time limit for the 50k...... I'm no expert, but that doesn't seem to shout out "Cakewalk"....... Gulp.

Gailanne is also running it this weekend. I haven't seen her in over a year. Can't wait to catch up.

I need an intervention some help........ I have to get my butt in gear and start getting healthy..... must stop eating cut back on greasy food and alcohol..... I have to lose at least 15 10lbs before September or I am going to be in a heap-load of trouble come raceday.

Have you ever raced when you weren't an ideal weight? What was the outcome? How do you stay healthy?

Gotta run.

Ugh, I'm struggling with the same challenge. The 40's are not so forgiving either when there's extra weight to deal with. Good luck w/ that 50K!

Good Luck w/ the 50K. As for ideal weight, I don't know that I've hit my ideal weight, but I feel I'm close.

Not a lot of trail, about 80% country roads, lots of climbing tho. Good luck

Conserve your energy on the hills and you'll be fine. Weather wise looks ideal for the race considering the time of year it is....enjoy the views and good luck

Good luck this weekend!

I'm not sure I've *ever* raced at an ideal weight. One day. :)

Vertical challenge? Wow, sounds intense! Unless it's a race just for us shorter people. :0)
I agree with above, take it easy on the really steep sections and pump those arms to power you uphill! You are going to tear it up!
