Thought I'd Try to Get Over my Fear of Heights

Let's just say it didn't work.

I paid ten dollars to ride on this thing. We were supposed to go through three revolutions... Thought I could do it!

As soon as we started moving I began to tremble. I had my feet planted on the floor and my hands were clenching the bench so hard that I was losing circulation.

I was so relieved to be descending the third time. I was so proud of myself.

The ground came and then quickly went..... They were giving us an extra rotation. My cage (I was seated alone) started to rock back and forth because of my shaking.... I started to hyperventilate.

I don't know how, but I managed to snap a couple pics while at the top. Surprisingly, they didn't turn out half bad even though my hand was shaking like crazy and I couldn't look to see where I was photographing. I did force myself to look twice.... Only made things worse.

I was so terrified that I couldn't even lift my arm up enough to press the emergency/ panic button. Didn't matter because I couldn't lift my head to even see where the button was located. I've never been so scared in my life.

What the hell was I thinking?

Once off the ride, It took me several minutes to catch my breath, and about a half hour to stop trembling.

Gotta kiss the ground.

I tried to get over my fear of spiders by having a big tarantula sit on my hand - and you know what? It worked!!! I am not so afraid of spiders anymore. As long as they aren't too big - like the dock spiders :-O. Myabe you should have taken Andrew along for support - next time.
