UltraMarathon Man... movie review.

I am probably the last person in the running community to have watched this movie :-)

I think the movie was ok.

I found it quite long and a wee bit on the boring side. There were a couple of stories that were touching. I did laugh (out loud) when some poor guy, trying to ham it up for the camera, runs right into a light pole. When they showed it again later on in the movie I almost peed myself. Yes, I am one of those people who find humor in watching other people hurt themselves!

I suggest that you watch this while catching up on emails, folding laundry or if you can't find anything else on the telly. If you haven't yet watched it, make sure to keep your eye out for the 'telephone pole' guy.

Maybe the book is better (50/50: Secrets I Learned Running 50 Marathons in 50 Days -- and How You Too Can Achieve Super Endurance!)?

Gotta run.

I read the book and it was OK, a few good stories but started to get a little repetitive after a while.

I have not seen the movie, but I actually found the book pretty entertaining. I have reviewed it at my blog:

Horton's determination in "The Runner" is unmatched. That dude is tough! Definitely worth watching.
