My First Pig Roast

I don't know what I expected from my first pig roast... I thought that maybe they would dispose of the body. Eeeek! I had some potato salad, macaroni salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, deviled eggs and a hot dog smothered in mustard, ketchup and relish. Good Eats! I couldn't get myself to try the pork.

My girlfriend has a couple of horses that are so much fun to watch, feed and pet! I haven't been riding in about 8 years so I thought that I would wait until after my races to get back on the saddle. With my luck, I would get bucked off and break a leg or something!

"The Clown" kept trying to bite my shirt... he especially liked my sleeves. I was trying to explain to him that it wasn't acceptable behavior.

Chasing each other around the pen.

I am leaving the pen to go and wash my hands here. The only bad thing about horses is that they make your hands filthy!!!! Doesn't work out well for those of us who have a bit of a neurosis. :-D

Well the tapering is going..... all I want to do is eat! I can't pass by my fridge without scanning the contents. Today I am going for a deep tissue massage. I can't wait. Not much else in terms of training.

Tapering is boring stuff.

Gotta run.

What night were you thinking?

I want to take myself to Pizza Hut on Friday for the fettuccine alfredo and garlic bread as my "last meal".

We will go with you on Friday nite - we have no plans. We can always modify the nights to accomodate all of us. We are retired you know.
