Garmin Forerunner 310XT

"Finally, a GPS-enabled training device that isn't afraid of the water. The rugged Forerunner 310XT is the triathlete's indispensable training tool — a GPS-enabled, swim-proof trainer that tracks bike and run data and sends it wirelessly to your computer. This multi-sport device has up to 20 hours of battery life, tracks distance, pace and heart rate (optional), and goes from wrist to bike in seconds."

All this good stuff has been borrowed from Garmin's website. :-D

My search for the perfect GPS trainer has lead me to believe that this bad boy is what I want.

I currently have a Polar system that is great. The downside is.... in order to make my system a GPS system, I would have to wear the watch (which is huge on my wrist), and a GPS unit that is bigger than my arm... Not gonna happen.

I am going to wait for some "regular people" reviews. I believe that the 310XT has just been released so I am patiently waiting. I must admit that the money is burning a hole in my pocket. I've been eying a pair of Tiffany earrings.....

If anyone has an inside scoop on the 310XT please shoot me a message in the comment section below.

Thanks.
Gotta run.

I've had mine for a week. Sturdy and feature packed, it performs as promised. Smaller than than the 305, bigger than the 405, it should fit fine on your wrist (I'm a dude and the band is actually a little on the small side of average) I don't plan on swimming with it, but by all appearances it is waterproof (rain and sweat are my main concerns). Unequivocal five stars.
