Can't stand having to pay for a taxi

I confess...... I will spend hundreds of dollars on a Kate Spade hand bag, but I cringe at the thought of handing over $20 for a cab ride.
Road to the mall

Yesterday, I decided that I was going to walk to the New Sudbury Centre (mall).  It is 4 miles from my hotel. My 'in town' journey wasn't anything exceptional.  The actual temperature was on the cool side, but the full sun made it a lot warmer.

Couldn't figure out what this was?????

Made it to the mall and made some purchases.  I knew that there was no way that I could carry all the bags home.  Because of my taxi issues, I decided that I should buy one of those cart things.  I call them old lady carts (I actually have one in London , and use it for grocery shopping etc.  hee hee).  I found a store that carried them.... they wanted $40..... too much!!

The Mall

Long story short..... I was hellbent on walking back to the hotel..... ended up buying two pieces of luggage (couldn't resist the sale).  I placed my shopping bags inside and I was good to go!  The luggage was heavy so I had to frequently alternate hands and stop to rest.

The last 30 minutes of my trek home was horrible.  Felt like I was at the end of a 50 miler...... I was sweating, I was tired, I was cranky, my shoulders and arms were sore, and my feet hurt..... wanh, wanh, wanh......  I was kicking myself for not calling a taxi.

Lunch was quiche, chic pea salad, and quinoa salad.

Once I got into my hotel room,  the shoes came off and my feet went up on the coffee table.  At that point, I decided that I would have felt much worse had I forked out the money for a taxi.

A burger joint that 'borrowed' a golden arch.

Wonder if Ronald knows?
What do you dislike spending your money on?

Gotta run.
