Today I happened to be walking by the YMCA. For reasons unbeknown to me, I found myself at the registration desk.... I was taken on a tour and given a welcome package.
I resisted the urge to sign up (I'm a sucker when it comes to impulse shopping). When I said that I was going to think about it, the nice young lady gave me a day pass... I'll probably check it out next week.
I suppose you need a bit more background info. I had been advised, that in order to heal my quad, I shouldn't do any of the activities that I've been doing. .... SIGH. This advice came from the greatest physiotherapist in the world (Mary Brannagan), So I should probably listen.
Pffffft...... Just thinking about it, I imagine I will slit my wrists in a week or so..... I'm such a drama queen. :)
Anyhoo, Good news is: I am allowed to do pool running! The bad news is: I am not real keen on wearing a bathing suit in public. Bleh ( I'm making barf sounds).
I do hope I am allowed to do Zumba (Spanish dance class that I will totally make a fool of myself in), yoga, and pilates. I'm thinking that the pilates may be a bit 'iffy'. I also think that the kettle ball class is pretty much out of the question.
I am going to list the pros and cons and make a decision based on the results.
Gotta 'pool' run.
