Sulphur Springs 2010 photographs

Friday night: Invisible Carb load meal. The night before a race, I like to go to Pizza Hut and order fettuccine Alfredo with a tomato sauce on the side. They couldn't get their crap together.... Andrew got his pizza 17 minutes before my food came.

Andrew picking Jodie up at the airport at 1am.

4:30am - Getting ready in the morning... my eyes are creepy in this photo.

Before the race.... not sure what I am looking at?

If you look real close... I've popped my head out.

Fun pic at the start. ( Hi Chris M.)

I'm still kinda fresh as Andrew snaps a pic.

Miss Gailanne helping me out!!

Coming out of the trails.

I have food in my mouth in a lot of the photos. lol Sooo tired!

Jo catching some rays at the inpromptu cheering station (it was snowing in Calgary when she left).

Yum, yum, yum.

Movin' along........

The final stretch. You can see the relief on my face.

Given my medal after slowly crossing the finish. (pictured is John Turner, the race director)

Blubbering mess..... thanks Gailane :)

Evidence of my stupidity.

Needed a 20 minute nap before I could shower.

All clean.... stuffing my face.

Exhausted (icing leg)... "Elizabeth.... I'm coming to join you".

Dropping Jodie off at the airport on Sunday afternoon.

The End.

Nice pictures. It is bad that ouser is not putting race pictures on the web like in previous years.
How long do you have to stay off runnig due to torn quad?

Hi Darek

Well..... It's been three weeks and I can barely run a half mile. Your guess is as good as mine.

I've been waiting to get into a highly recommended physiotherapist in London.... My appointment is on the 25th of this month. We will see what he says.

Great photos, pretty effing hardcore if you ask me!

Based on my torn quad, and it doesn't look as bad as yours, I was off running for 12 weeks or so...that's probably not what you want to hear, my advice is swimming
